Wool bathing suit with tie back

This utilitarian woollen one-piece bathing suit was made by well-known New Zealand clothing manufacturer Lane Walker Rudkin under the Canterbury label. Shoulder straps are adjusted by pulling them through two loops at the back, and tying them in place. These togs contrast with more decorative styles from this era that were obviously influenced by fashion.
