Red velvet boat neck dress

Norman Alexander owned two businesses in the small town of Dannevirke. In the 1950s, his retail store, The Fashion, employed five shop assistants, a manageress, office girl and a trained corsetiere. His fashion label, Silvalyne Gowns, employed 14 staff members in a small factory on Gordon Street.
