Cropped cotton top with ruffles
Ngāti Ruanui designer Bobby Campbell Luke showed this top as part of his collection at Miromoda in 2018. His collection, titled 'Kakahu Hau' (the Breath of the Cloth), was about revitalising homewares from his whānau as garments. He told TVNZ's Te Karere that he used a lot of homeware and workwear that he saw in the kitchen at his mārae when he was growing up. Bobby won the established designer category at Miromoda with this collection.
