Carnation print dress with peplum

After closing their own shop in Wellington, Chow Mein's designers Teresa and Gregory moved to Auckland where they sold their garments in Chloe and Kristins. They designed one-off separates so that people could "wear them how they like". In an article for New Zealander magazine, Rosemary McLeod described Teresa and Gregory's designs as "a modification of what they'd wear themselves".
