Ombre-dyed peach silk dress

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, designs by Susan Holmes often featured scalloped edging on yokes and cuffs. Susan used this feature to give structure to the flowing silk that she used for the body of the garment. This three-piece dress made up of a shirt, blouse and sash is an outstanding example. From 1972 to 1979, Susan sold her designs from the Auckland craft market Brown's Mill.
