Blue & white floral bikini

Jennifer Godward was inspired to make her own line of swimwear after seeing 'snappy' bikinis being sold like hotcakes in Sydney. Made under the label Jennifer Dean, they were so popular that there would be queues outside her shop on Friday night. Initially the garments were made by machinists at home but it was not long before Jennifer Dean had its own factory in Chancery Street and was wholesaling around the country.
