Black wool dress with white stitching

The clever tailoring, attention to detail, and modern lines of this dress were trademarks of Barbara Herrick, the designer behind the Babs Radon label. Shelia Scotter, editor of Vogue New Zealand and author of 'Five leaders of New Zealand Couture' (Vogue New Zealand, Summer 1963) commented that Barbara designed "fashions that always have the woman in mind, suggesting the figure rather than fitting tightly".
