Semi-Couture Day Dress

This dress belonged to Joan Macpherson, who was the buyer first at The DIC and later at Kirkcaldie & Stains. Both stores were stockists of El Jay in Wellington. Joan also organised and compered the in-store fashion parades. Read more about Gus Fisher and the El Jay label in the New Zealand Fashion Museum publication Looking Terrific: The story of El Jay.
