New Zealand Junior Rugby jersey

The current president of the New Zealand
Rugby Union Board Bryan (Beegee) Williams contributed his own New Zealand Junior jersey to the exhibition. Between 1958 and 1984 the Junior All Blacks teams were an under-23 national representative side. Today the Junior All Blacks are professional players awarded a black jersey in anticipation of future All Black selection. Bryan Williams was the first Samoan superstar of rugby, who played for the All Blacks from 1970 to 1978, scoring 65 tries in 113 matches including 38 international tests. His sensational 14 tries in 13 appearances, including the 1970 tour of South Africa, cements his name as an all-time legend of the game. He has remained a rugby man through and through and can still be found on a Saturday morning encouraging young players from his beloved Ponsonby Rugby Club at Cox’s Bay Park near his home.
