Mahogany brown fur stole

For much of the 20th century, fur was considered a glamour item, conferring upon the wearer both status and style. This stole is made by Mooneys Furs. Famous for its fashion furs, Mooneys was one of New Zealand's main wholesalers, selling into the major department stores and to smaller furriers who needed to supplement their stock. The stole was gifted to the Kauri Museum by Betty Clarke.
