Day dress with detailed print

From about the 1930s, new screen-printing technologies revolutionised the textile industry, replacing labour-intensive, expensive block printing methods and engraved roller machines. Mass-produced designs made print and pattern an affordable indulgence. By the 1960s, complex, bold, yet detailed graphic printed textiles - like those on this Minima 52 day dress - were suddenly in vogue.
