Cobalt & black print summer dress

Roystyles was originally established in 1945 on Elliott Street in Auckland central. They later moved to premises in Shortland Street. They made labels such as Miss Hebe under licence, as well as their own Roystyles label. The bound buttonholes (a labour-intensive detail) and the curved finished edge at the neckline and front hem indicate that it was an expensive dress.
