Show & Tell Time at NZFM and Help Make
Fashion History

On Sunday 26th June 2016 there will be a Pop-up Photography Studio at Kingsize Studios in Grey Lynn. This is a chance for all fashion lovers and collectors to get their New Zealand fashion garments and accessories recorded for inclusion in the NZ Fashion Museum online collection.

Do you have any early Kate Sylvester, World, Starfish, Marilyn Sainty or Karen Walker? Or perhaps you have something a little older like Svelt or Pussyfooting or Hullabaloo or from the 1950s and 60s by Bruce Papas or Emma Knuckey? Please bring any of these along to the studio, together with any original photos of you, or family members, wearing them. We would also love you to share your fashion moments with us - any stories of when and where you wore these outfits.

Next step, please…
• Email to register your garment(s) at hello@nzfashionmuseum.org.nz. We will send you back a simple collection form to complete and provide an appointment time.
• Have your garment(s) looking their very best (air, wash and iron or dry clean). This will ensure we do the designer proud when they appear in the online NZ Fashion Museum collection. Have a look at the link to see what we already have in our collections and how they’re displayed.

Now start rummaging through your wardrobe, attic and storage today and help bring our New Zealand’s fashion stories to life!

PS. tell all your friends and family about this important call out to extend our collection, so they too can be involved and play their part in making New Zealand fashion history. Download and share this flyer.
